BASICS
The Marion County BASICS program provides educational programs to influence recipients to make healthy lifestyle choices. If you would like more information please click here and someone from our staff will contact you. One of the activities offered through the BASICS program is Chef Charles. The Chef Charles newsletter is offered to teach older adults about nutrition, food safety and simple food preparation. Each month the newsletter will be available to you after you complete the online tutorial. These newsletters are provided by the Iowa Nutrition Network and funded by Food Stamp Nutrition Education.
